Concept, design and development of Non, a generative sound mediation app for iOS. Conceived as the first meditation platform to reflect the unexpected, unpredictable, and evolving nature of life.

Beneath Non’s surface is a nuanced algorithm that intelligently generates sounds based on your preference, environment, time of day, and motion. Each session generates a unique audio composition based on these variables, making no two sessions alike and allowing for infinite exploration.

Based on your current location and position relative to the sun, Non’s user interface adapts to reflect the tone of that particular time of day. This response to your surroundings intends to inspire a direct connection to the ever-changing nature of the physical world.

As a predominant UI feature within the app, the numerals were produced as a custom typeface. The lightweight and narrow characters aim to capture the subdued nature of meditation and pair with the vertical shape of the phone.
