Proposed record cover and identity system for San Francisco based indie band, Cathedrals ‡.  Inspired by the feminine, yet melancholic sound of the music, as well as the religious implications of the band’s name, a pseudo-spiritual scene was set.

Reminiscent of religious Madonna imagery, the protagonist is draped in lace cloth and is partially submerged in a bathtub. The moment captured intends to be uncertain, the protagonist either submerging herself for death or reemerging from the afterlife.
